These versatile units can be mounted on three types of detachable feet permitting mounting of the gears in an almost unlimited number of positions.

Categorised as the 'U' - Under driven horizontal, 'O' - Over driven horizontal and 'V'- Vertical worm gear units with their feet cast integrally with the gear case, they are popularly known as solid foot units.

Where overall ratio is in excess of 70:1, double stage reduction units are required.

Greaves Worm Speed Reducers are of substantial construction, combining rigidity with strength as well as combining the features of conventional 'U', 'V' and 'O' types worm gear boxes in a single unit with solid input and solid output.

Greaves Adaptable Motorised Worm Speed Reducers are of substantial construction, combining rigidity with strength as well as combining the features of conventional 'O', and 'V' types worm gearboxes in a single unit with hollow input & hollow output. They are supplied with built-in motor flange adaptors thereby eliminating the needs for input and output couplings.

Greaves 'GM' - Series Helical Geared Motors in single / double / triple reduction models are intended to satisfy all requirements of a reliable drive for slow-speed high-torque applications.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION:

Standard range of Greaves geared motors, available in foot-mounted versions, offer unparallel performance covering nominal ratio from 1.22/1 to 159/1 with power ratings ranging from 0.12 Kw to 25 Kw.

Traction Type: The type FCU, FP, SFC, DFC and HTC when used with fixed speed motor provide light load start, smooth acceleration and overload protection for the motor and driven machine. These are suitable for loads upto 1250 KW.
